Cloudveil

Jackson, WY

TruexCullins designed this 100-room luxury hotel to reflect the enduring character of Jackson Hole. The project was driven by the theme “Let Jackson Hole Change You”, a nod to the transformational nature of the valley and the surrounding peaks.

Located directly on the Jackson Town Square and at the heart of the National Parks system, the Cloudveil is a gateway to boundless adventures.

The Cloudveil is a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel. TruexCullins Interiors collaborated with CLB Architects and the IBI Group on this project.

Celebrating Jackson’s Spirit of Adventure, Renewal and Exploration

The Cloudveil interiors embody what is unique about Jackson Hole – the National Parks, grandeur of the landscape, awesome wildlife that migrate through the adjacent wilderness, and a vibrant town culture.

This meant big powerful moves, using regional materials in unexpected ways, and engaging the highest standard of authentic craftsmanship.

a hotel exactly like nothing else

As the only hotel on the historic town square, The Cloudveil is a refined sanctuary that connects guests to the people who form the fabric of the community for a truly authentic, unforgettable experience.

The project boasts 100 guest rooms and suites, a grand lobby with library and lounge, outdoor pool and spa, and 7,500 square feet of indoor-outdoor meeting and event space.

a lobby that evokes the majesty of the tetons

The dramatic Teton mountains inspired the feature stair with a split face stone wall constructed from massive stacked slabs.  This impressive wall extends three stories high to a rooftop terrace and event space, evoking the feeling of climbing a rock face, with a staircase that appears suspended by steel cabling.

Varied lounge seat groups upholstered in custom stitched  leather and hides offer intimate gathering spaces, surrounded by library shelving filled with local art and artifacts. Aspen trees are artfully placed spanning floor-to-ceiling with lighting that sparkles like sunlight through trees.

public space that engages all the senses

Guests are welcomed by a wood burning stone fireplace, flanked by full-height windows with views to town square.

The check-in desk is a ten-foot-long 3,000 pound stone slab contrasted by a hand tooled desk blotter made from skirting leather, draped over the boulder like a saddle. This juxtaposition between raw stone and refined saddlery exemplifies the dualities of Jackson Hole.

western detail for a finishing touch

Rooms feature a two-sided fireplace with a cozy corner banquette comfortable for lounging, dining, or working, with large windows and outdoor balconies overlooking the town square. A signature bed bench is fabricated by a local saddle maker, its frame handmade by a local blacksmith.
